My Indian Summer Book Launch

Joseph was at the Massy Art Gallery for the official launch of his debut novel, My Indian Summer, in conversation with William Lindsay, former Director of the Office for Aboriginal Peoples at SFU and author of Rez Dog Blues & The Haiku: A Savage Life in Bits and Pieces.

They talked about the experiences that inspired Joe to write the story, the writing process and getting published, trauma and survival, and the impact of residential schools. Joe also read an excerpt from the book.
